Glendale, California – The Armenia School Foundation (ASF USA), a non-profit organization dedicated to refurnishing small and remote schools in Armenia, is proud to announce the completion of seven more school projects in 2008.
“This year marked an important and successful year for ASF” stated Armen Abrahamian, Chairman of the Board. “Through our combined efforts and successful fundraising events, such as the 5th Anniversary gala held in May, ASF managed to raise over $100,000 to furnish seven additional schools in 2008”.
The overall assistance that the foundation has provided to schools in remote areas of Armenia and Karabagh this year was $68,810. ASF delivered 609 student chairs and desk sets (along with 64 teacher sets and 67 blackboards) for 1,218 students in various regions of the country.

ASF is pleased to announce that $39,000 has been raised and pledged for four additional schools which will receive their much needed furniture during the first half of 2009.
“We would like to express our gratitude to our donors for their continued support, encouragement, and their strong belief in improving the educational environment of our future generation. We foresee a challenging year ahead of us but are committed to continue our efforts in raising funds for more schools. The Armenia School Foundation (ASF USA) is a non-profit and non-sectarian, 501c3 organization, founded in May 2003. ASF strives to provide new furniture for underprivileged schools in remote regions of Armenia and Karabagh. ASF has provided over 9,000 sets of furniture to over 18,000 students, thus refurnishing close to 200 schools with the funds collected in the US and worldwide.
