Glendale, California, April 25, 2008 – The Armenia School Foundation (ASF USA), a non-profit organization dedicated to refurnishing schools in Armenia and Karabagh, will host a gala banquet on May 31 to celebrate its 5th Anniversary, at Ararat Center in Glendale.
The evening will mark the second annual banquet for ASF since its inception in May 2003. “ASF has a truly ambitious mission, to furnish 12 new schools in regions of Armavir and Aragatsotn in 2008“said Armen Abrahamian, chairman of the Board. “We will celebrate ASF’s accomplishments with our friends and hopefully with the generosity of our supporters, enough funds will be raised to refurnish all 12 schools in Armenia”
The gala will be attended by over 400 friends, supporters, representatives of community organizations as well as public figures such as California Assemblyman Paul Krekorian, Former Glendale Mayors Ara Najarian, Glendale City Clerk, Ardashes Kassakhian, and community activists Dr. Alina Dorian and Jasik Jarrahian as Masters of Ceremonies.
The evening will have a candle ceremony to recognize the sponsors of the new school projects, raffle drawing, dance performances by Nairi Hamazkain dance group and a special video presentation from Armenia. The gala will also mark the publication of the 5th Anniversary booklet highlighting all the donor names, photos, and achievements of ASF.
